CHOICES
Most times we hear Pastors and different people talk about how they were placed with the choice of riches, fame, Jesus and other pleasures of the world. Some were confused but others knew what they wanted and went after it.
They chose Christ.
It seems nice and great to choose Christ over other things (and it's really great lol) but what we forget is that in choosing Christ, we deny "ourselves". The Bible says anyone who want to follow Christ must first of all deny himself, take up his cross and follow him. (Luke 9:23).
Denying self is a great challenge to most of us. Why? What we want and how we want seem to be a major issue for us. We have to come to the point where we realise its not our way anymore but the way of Christ.
Not the way of the flesh anymore but the way of the Spirit. We must deny ourself of "ourselves" (if that makes sense) and then follow.

These men and even our ancestors in the faith had to go through this process. We also must if we continually choose Christ everyday. We must let go of flesh, of ourselves.
There will be choices for fame, riches, to appear important and there will also be Christ. If we choose Christ, we must realise it is a daily walk. It's not something we start and stop. Christ must come first, his rulership and reign over our lives. He won't force himself on us. Its a choice we have to make.
To be Relevant, you must choose Christ.
As you Choose Christ, we pray that your strength is renewed in Him everyday as you deny yourself and you learn that Jesus must come first!
